She Doesn’t Belong

Sometimes, the most unwanted person crowds your head. But, she doesn't belong...and its time to evict her from your world within.

Sometimes, she

comes to mind

and doesn’t leave

no matter how hard I try.

She takes resident and

makes a mess of things.

Forcing me to visit the

joys and pains of our

union so long ago.

I make the mistake

believing we can work

things out.

But I’ve come to believe

that such foolish thoughts

don’t belong in my house.

So, sometimes, she comes to

visit my mind in the

most unlikely ways.

But, I know I have to close the

door and not let her in.

She doesn’t belong…

Her presence may

swirl in my head.

But she doesn’t belong

Not here.

Not now.

Not ever.

My home is not hers.

And it’s better this way.

So I shove

her out of my mind.

And the clutter within

becomes clean again.

I'm of sound mind.

All order comes to my hose.
