Shattered Like a Broken Mirror

Shattered Like a Broken Mirror

Shattered like a broken mirror,
Scattered on the floor.
Every piece reflects a life,
That isn’t whole anymore.

The cracks run deep through memories,
No hand can smooth away.
They whisper of forgotten dreams,
That slowly slipped away.

I search among the fragments,
For someone I once knew.
A face divided into pieces,
Yet every piece feels true.

Some wounds stay beautifully honest,
Though painful to recall.
They teach us we are still alive,
Despite the hardest fall.

Not every crack needs hiding,
Not every scar is shame.
Some become the evidence,
That we survived the flame.

The mirror cannot heal itself,
Nor erase the broken view.
Yet every piece still catches light,
When sunshine passes through.

Perhaps we’re never meant again,
To be exactly new.
Perhaps our strength is found instead,
In all we’ve struggled through.

Shattered like a broken mirror,
Still reflecting grace.
For even broken pieces hold,
The beauty of a face.
