Shadows of the Once-Bright Sun

Ephemeral Echoes in the Gloaming of Memory

Beneath the veil of twilight’s grace,

Where shadows dance and sigh,

I find a timeworn, secret place,

Where olden dreams do lie.

Once, the morning’s golden rays,

Bathed the world in light,

Now, in dusk’s ethereal haze,

I wander through the night.

The ghostly whispers of the past,

Resound in silent halls,

Each memory, a spell is cast,

As evening’s curtain falls.

In the mirror of the mind,

Reflections softly gleam,

Of days that once were intertwined,

With hope’s enduring dream.

Through corridors of yesterday,

I walk with bated breath,

Where laughter’s echoes softly play,

Amidst the hush of death.

The raven, with its sable cry,

Proclaims the fleeting years,

As moonlit phantoms drift and sigh,

Amidst the veil of tears.

Oh, to feel the warmth again,

Of sun-kissed fields in bloom,

But here I tread, in sorrow’s fen,

Enshrouded by the gloom.

Nostalgia’s tendrils tightly weave,

A tapestry of time,

Where joy and sorrow interleave,

In melancholy rhyme.

In twilight’s arms, I softly lay,

With memories entwined,

Awaiting dawn’s elusive day,

In shadows undefined.

Thus, within this mystic space,

Where past and present blend,

I find a transient embrace,

Where time and dreams suspend.
