Shadow

Shadows, a dance of light and dark,

A play of forms, a work of art,

A reflection of the world, so true,

Shadows, a mystery, in black and blue.

A silent companion, by our side,

A mirror of our own soul, inside,

A reminder of the past, and what's to come,

Shadows, a story yet to be done.

They can be long and thin, or short and round,

A change of shape, with every movement found,

A sign of life, and its many shades,

Shadows, a natural cascade.

But shadows can also bring fear,

Of the unknown, and what's not clear,

A reminder of what's hidden deep,

Shadows, a place where secrets keep.

But in the shadows, we can learn,

To face our fears, and let our light burn,

For shadows are a part of life,

Shadows, a source of beauty, and strife.
