butterflies and wildfires

soaring skies and distant smiles

lifted cries and crooked lines

daunting lies and desperate trials

systematic and sequential

emphatic and mental

full of wasted potential

surrounded by the consequential

frugal affairs

brutal nightmares

evil stares and

lethal dares

the sharp tree bark

rips my skin apart

spineless coward in

a vibrant tower with

so little power and

an expression so sour

and the slope moves downward,

but alas the golden hour

and the sunlit showers

blossoming flowers

illustrate success of devoured

imbeciles and their meaningless glowers

purple-tinted haze

when I escaped the maze

I express a mystical gaze

and I’m confused yet amazed
