The texture

A feeling

A pleasure

appealing

The moment

Is savored

The memories

Remembered

A touch, taste

Or sensory

A flicker

Intensity

Increased emotion

Salty smell of the ocean

Wave gently crashes

Sand soothing

Surf smashes

Dew drops

On eyelashes

Eyes flicker

Light flashes

Moments in time

Cool rhythms

Smooth rhymes

The fullness of the moon

A lover's heart swoons

Smoother than whiskey

Green meadows get misty

Falling in love and tipsy

Clouds romantic and wispy

The wind gently blows

Chances come and they go

Blowing by just to prove

Everything soon, becomes smooth

The life of relationships I suppose.

  • Even the sharpest of knives (or tongues) eventually become smooth, the most jagged of shorelines worn down by the crashing of waves, the edgiest of nights smoothed out by the gentle dawn in a loved one's arms, the roughest of lives in death's gentle slumber.
