Senses Alive

A poem of wonder and beauty

I see a world of wonder, vibrant and alive,

With colors that dance and emotions that thrive,

The sky is a canvas, painted in shades of blue,

And the trees sway in the breeze, as if they're brand new.

I hear the sounds of laughter, music and song,

The chirping of birds and the melody they bring along,

The crunch of leaves beneath my feet,

The rustle of wind in the trees so sweet.

I smell the scent of roses, fresh and pure,

The aroma of coffee, rich and alluring to allure,

The scent of rain on hot dry ground,

And the aroma of baking bread, all around.

I taste the flavors of life, both sweet and sour,

The tangy taste of lemon and the sweetness of a flower,

The warmth of hot soup on a chilly day,

And the freshness of fruit, in a smoothie at bay.

I touch the textures of the world, rough and smooth,

The softness of a baby's skin, gentle as a groove,

The warmth of the sun on my face,

And the coolness of water in a calm embrace.

These senses, they bring life to me,

A world full of beauty, as far as I can see,

And in each moment, they remind me to be alive,

To cherish every sensation, and let my soul thrive.
