Senses

Thru my eyes

Mirror

I look in the mirror and what do I see, a woman so smug just laughing at me. Her smile is crooked, her eyes are so sad. Her energy whispers, you'd be better off dead.

I step in the shower and what do i feel, a woman too big for a man's sex appeal. Skin stretched and scarred, a body that's weak. A hatred that doesn't just stop at simply skin deep.

I walk down the road and what do I hear, the lies of my people "She seems so Ideal". Would you know if I faked it? Would you know if I died? Did you know you can live and still be dead in your mind?

I sprayed on some perfume, what a beautiful scent. It masks all my insecurities, money well spent. No hint at the panic attack that made me sweat thru. All you know is I like orange blossom too.

I'm eating my dinner; I'm chewing each bite. I savor in the taste and delight. What's one more serving, I'm already big. It can't be addiction; don't you have to eat to live?

So here we are. My senses all laid out. Come have some coffee and sit in my house. Marvel at the oblivion and smile with grace, as you look in my "oh so put together" face.

We will laugh, talk and live. I'll give great advice. Rarely will you have to tell me something twice. You can trust me on all levels and let me tell you why.

My senses taught me that all people lie.
