Secrets of Your Mind

Choosing Not to Look

By Eshelle ButlerPublished 9 years ago • 1 min read

Things about you

I dare not understand

stick out in my mind

like an extended hand,

reaching out to me

begging me to be unafraid

to explore a journey

deep inside your mind

but sometimes, my love;

love is blind.

And I forget to explore the dark things I know not

Things we both fear to know

to look at, to feel, to accept.

We choose to close the door

and just hope it disappears

but nothing goes away

just because I choose not

to look.
