Secret Lovers Forever
They met beneath the evening sky,
Two lonely hearts just passing by.
A stolen glance, a secret smile,
And both forgot the world awhile.
Their love was never meant to be,
A hidden dream no one could see.
They met where shadows softly fell,
With whispered words they dared not tell.
They stole their kisses in the rain,
Then walked away in silent pain.
For every moment spent together,
They wished that it could last forever.
They couldn't walk along the street,
Or hold each other's hands when they'd meet.
No photographs upon a wall,
No one to know their love at all.
She waited for his secret call,
And watched the evening shadows fall.
He promised her that things would change,
But every year remained the same.
They shared their dreams behind closed doors,
Of living somewhere by the shores.
A little house beside the sea,
Where they could love so openly.
But time went by, their faces aged,
Their love remained a hidden page.
A story neither dared to share,
Of two lost souls who couldn't dare.
And when they finally said goodbye,
There were no witnesses to cry.
Just two old hearts with dreams that died,
And years of loving left inside.
They'd loved each other all those years,
Through stolen hours and silent tears.
But fate had written from the start,
Forever lovers, forever apart.
