You know that I don't cry anymore
I drain the pain away, through vacant, hollow eyes
A different season and another storm
Water colored droplets falling from an August sky
You know that I don't play anymore
Can't take the way I get surprised
It's hard to hide out when storm clouds pour
And all I'm begging for is dry
**
I think maybe you've got the feeling
It's getting harder to pretend
I guess seeing is believing
Sometimes good things come to an end
I've done my best to keep illusions alive
I just can't afford to love for two
You may not believe it, but I really tried
I'm at a loss for what to do
