Seasonal Love
"Heart beating fast, don’t think I’m ‘gonna last..."
Heart beating fast,
Don’t think I’m ‘gonna last.
His eyes so blue,
Large and beautiful, something so new.
His pink lips pulled back with a grin,
Something so gorgeous should be a sin.
Snowflakes dance in his hair,
Each strand blown back by winter air.
His jewel-like eyes meet mine,
And suddenly I’ve crossed the line.
This un-required love will be the death of me,
But it will take some time to see.
Here I stand, under the blossom tree,
Letter grasped in hand and I just want to flee.
Petals fly as I see him walk out the door,
And I wait no more.
For it is time,
Time to commit my crime.
My footsteps heavy as they lead me to my fears,
Green locker door covered in greasy smears.
Finger shake with hesitation,
Sliding in the love letter of my creation.
My unrequired love getting the best of me,
But I smile, for the rejection will set me free.
Lips meet in the darkness,
Teeth clash with a pleasant harshness,
Hands in my hair,
Pulling roughly but I don’t care.
I have my dream in my arms,
Mind too far gone to hear the blaring alarms.
That my conscience rings,
For he could just be playing with heartstrings.
Limps damp from summer heat sweat,
Tangled together in a desperation of lust I have just met.
Eyes close in pleasure.
This unholy night, I shall treasure.
Orange, red and yellow scurry in the air,
Jack-o-lanterns lit up promptly for the Halloween fair.
Fingers entwined as we walk to our spot,
Hushed whispers exchanged in dread of getting caught.
My eyes sing words my mouths will never say,
My love for you as clear as day.
Though your eyes seem distant,
And your smiles aren't always consistent.
I know this love will be paradise,
And what you give me now shall suffice.
