Sea Blues

A tale of romance

Crouching over the soft white sand,

With sea stretching over for miles and miles, it was a no man's land.

We were wanderers set out in the pursuit of freedom and bliss,

And listening to the old songs together caused us to reminisce.

Sitting at the beach just you and I

Your arms wrapped perfectly around mine.

Sea shells here and sea shells there,

I filled my pockets with sea shells, just as you empty yours off sand.

I built my castle here as you laughed half heartedly,

There was an air of melancholy around you.

And together we saw the sun take a dip

In the sea, the sea and the sky now united.

Now with the sun gone, it got dark, and it got chilly.

The time of dusk, it pleased you the most.

The happiness on your face, as you screamed, "Did you see the sunset?","Did you miss it?"

"I got what I came for" was all I

could muster.

Words were lost, I couldn't have described the splendid view.

Your eyes were looking at it while mine were on you.
