Scrolling

A Poem

By Jacob GrandmaisonPublished 7 years ago 1 min read

Today I saw you with him.

Except, in today’s society it was not with my own eyes.

It was through the lens of your camera,

edited,

filtered,

uploaded

and projected onto my 6 inch screen I carry in my pocket.

I scrolled by it at first,

not realizing the new reality you live in.

A reality without me and now with him.

A reality that I feared you craved,

in the time we had together.

I slid my thumb up the screen

making you and him disappear.

Giving myself a piece of mind,

until the next post I scroll by.
