School DAYS

Chalk dust swirls in sunlit rays,

Laughter spills in playground maze.

Pigtails bounce, a whispered joke,

Pencils race, then doodle smoke.

+

Teacher's tap, a ruler's rap,

Sleepy heads in sunlit nap.

Paper planes take flight so free,

Across the desks, to history.

+

Crayons sing in rainbow hues,

Muddy boots track leafy dews.

Whispers dance on tiptoes light,

Giggles burst at paper fright.

+

Story time, a dragon's roar,

Sleepy eyes then snore, snore, snore.

Lunchbox smells, a symphony,

Apple crunch and peanut glee.

+

Playground shouts, a joyful din,

Tag and swing, and spin, and spin.

Bell rings high, the day takes flight,

School days weave in dreams at night.
