Scattered feelings

Disbelief -

Are you kidding me?!

A joke is what this must be,

the kind I give when

situations are strained with tension,

the tactic used to break ice

for all to smirk again.

Now all the muscles are tightened

with a smile beaming across

this shocked gaping face

as I celebrate those

who read these lines

with encouragement!

It took a few days to process -

I almost bought a t-shirt

in the dreamy process,

but it would’ve cut too close

with rent being due

for the first time in 6 months!

A new place to relax and -

get ready for it…
