You are the brilliant blue sky,
Into your vastness one can never pry,
As serene as you may seem,
The truth of changing colours you cannot deny.
Wise men know that you are a dream,
In your wake the militant moon gleams,
You do change more rapidly than she,
In sooth your ways are but extreme.
To her loving heart you are the key,
Yet to your thoughts she is not privy,
Her dainty heart bruises and bleeds,
Yet you pay no heed to her pleas.
All her dark demons she weeds,
With gentle hands she sows strong seeds,
Rain you must in abundance,
Then you will have done a good deed.
But you do come merely in pretence,
And live at her innocence’s expense,
Luring her closer the farther you go,
Leaving behind irreparable dents.
Luring her closer the father you go,
You seek shelter in your shallow shadows,
Making her question your very being,
To her mind you mete out baneful blows.
Still she gives only love to you in parting,
Grateful for you featured only in passing,
Your omnipresence shall still haunt her,
But now you cannot cease her blooming.
