Death called September,

you've been dragging this out.

What keeps you so wrapped up?

You're tying knots

that will not help you at all.

Your fate left 10 missed calls.

She plays down

at the graveyard,

clever games of

hide and seek.

Tell Captain Hook

his time is almost at hand.

She saw his other one.

You'll find her wading

down by the water,

up the river,

toward Shit's Creek.

She is not patient,

she's the busiest clock,

her chores done

one by one.

She dreams in apparitions,

with faces we might

dread to see.
