In the depths of my heart,
Lies a sad love story
Of a love that was never meant to be
A tale of heartache and misery
We met on a sunny day
Our eyes locked in a sweet embrace
Our love bloomed like a flower in May
But it was not meant to stay
You had to go, leaving me behind
Tears streamed down my face as I resigned
To a life without you, my heart confined
To the pain of loving someone unaligned
I tried to move on, but my heart refused
It yearned for you, its love unamused
With each passing day, my pain accrued
Until my heart was completely bruised
Now I live with the memories of us
A love that was beautiful, but unjust
A story of love, full of trust
But ended in heartbreak and dust.
