Roots dig deep, while branches reach high

Spreading to the future and anchors to the past

Our lives between the earth and sky

As children we dream, and let our dreams fly

Dreams that fade and dreams that last

Roots dig deep, while branches reach high

We succeed and fail as we grow, and yet we try

Building on our roots that hold us fast

Our lives between the earth and sky

Branches crack, falling to the ground to lie

New ones grow from the tree's solid mast

Roots dig deep, while branches reach high

Seated under a tree, the world goes by

Shade and comfort as we take repast

Our lives between the earth and sky

Growth and Change, beneath the sun's eye

Reach for the future, take strength from the past

Roots dig deep, while branches reach high

Our lives between the earth and sky
