I never had much
I grew up poor, in a rush
I faced it all head strong
And through my ups and downs
I stand here now
I’m a man in heels, I’m a rock star
I’m a freak in bed, I’m a rock star
If you want to catch me
Try the night time
I rarely did well in school
I barely knew two plus two
I always knew I was cool
I had to leave all the crazy behind
Matter fact
I had to take control of my mind
Matter fact
I never gave a damn what you said about me
Matter fact
I came here to be who I be
Matter fact
