Tilapia

[Roasted Tilapia Recipe]

Ingredients:

Whole tilapia, scaled and washed with vinegar

Cooking oil (use your preferred type)

Chicken noodle seasoning (or bouillon cubes)

Dried herbs (Italian seasoning, oregano, parsley, thyme)

Cloves

Onion powder

Black pepper

Paprika

Coriander seeds (or cumin)

Seasoning salt

Chili peppers (optional, for spice)

Ginger and garlic paste

Lemon slices or veggies (for preventing sticking)

For the side salad: Chopped tomatoes, spring onions, red onions, olive oil, red wine vinegar (or lemon juice), black pepper, salt

Instructions:

Prepare the Marinade:

Combine all the dry ingredients - chicken noodle seasoning, dried herbs, cloves, onion powder, black pepper, paprika, coriander seeds, seasoning salt, and optional chili peppers.

Add the ginger and garlic paste to the mix.

Blend everything well to form a flavorful marinade.

Marinate the Tilapia:

Coat the whole tilapia generously with the prepared marinade.

Allow the fish to marinate in the refrigerator for at least one hour (longer for enhanced flavor).

Prevent Sticking:

To prevent sticking during roasting, place lemon slices or veggies under the fish, or use a foil/parchment paper.

Roasting Process:

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

Roast the marinated tilapia for 10 minutes on each side.

After the first 10 minutes, rub some marinade on the fish to keep it moist, then flip the sides.

Continue roasting for another 10 minutes on each side.

Prepare Side Salad:

Mix chopped tomatoes, spring onions, and red onions in a bowl.

Add olive oil, red wine vinegar (or lemon juice), black pepper, and salt to season. Chill in the refrigerator.

Final Touch:

After the second 10-minute roasting session, apply more marinade for a flavorful finish.

If available, switch to the broil option for an additional 10 minutes to achieve a golden, crispy texture.

Serve and Enjoy:

Plate the roasted tilapia alongside the chilled side salad.
