Our country is in trouble and I’m so scared

To much hate around us, this isn’t fair

Shootings, global warming, Hate and greed

Sexism, racism right under our feet

How can we stop this

We don’t want another war

We need to help the homeless and poor

Our country is collapsing, being ripped and scorn

Losing freedom, how far will it go?

A Handmaid’s Tale, I don’t know.

I feel the world around me falling apart

It’s really breaking my heart

Can we fix this, instead of breaking apart?

We have to do good, we have to be smart

Religion shouldn’t matter, neither should sex

We’re all human beings after all

We may not make it after the fall

Damn the people who put us in this mess

Damn you for putting us in distress

You're killing our country one smashed law at a time

In the end our world won't be worth a dime
