Rex and the City

A journey through time

There once was a dinosaur named Rex, Who travelled through time, what happens next? He opened his eyes to a world so strange, Everything seemed to have gone through a change.

~~~
The trees were so tall, reaching the sky, And dinosaurs were nowhere to be seen, oh my! Instead, there were buildings made of stone and glass, And noisy metal beasts went zooming past.
~~~

Rex wandered the streets in a daze of confusion, At all the new sights causing such commotion. The tiny humans zipped by without fear, So different from his time when they would disappear.

~~~
He saw bright lights that shone through the night, And boxes that showed pictures, what a sight! The smells were peculiar, of food so unique, Nothing like the plants that a dino would eat.
~~~

Then Rex bumped into something towering high, It looked like a mountain scraping the sky! He jumped back in shock at this man-made hill, Amazed by the humans' creativity and skill.

~~~
As night fell, Rex felt lost in this new modern age, He longed for his home, the prehistoric stage. With a mighty roar that shook the city streets, Rex shut his eyes and made his retreat.
~~~

Back in his own time when life was so simple, He curled up to sleep in his tropical temple. Perhaps it was just a wild dream, Of a world so far ahead, not as it may seem.
