Unwanted Guests
Whenever it wants
the past can tear down my doors
Continually haunts
stirring the dust on the floor
Trying to reclaim the power it held
reasserting presumptions, re-ringing those bells

I tell it to get lost
but it clings tightly to my bones
Makes me exhausted
dispersing its clones
Just when I think I've got it under control
another pops up suffocating my soul

Can you help me Mr. Clean
please bring with you some Bounty
I need that quicker picker upper
to come set me free
I've tried to ignore it
hoping it'll just go away
But it's as stubborn as shit
I need it to amscray!

So, if there's a home remedy
to combat the past
Please send it to me
whatever way, make it fast
UPS or Fedex
doesn't matter at all
Show me your flex
making it go AWOL

Here is a snippet of conversation I had with a writer we all know and love, and a challenge I had to follow thru with Randy: My fear is that when my time comes, Death will have forgotten my name & not know how to find me.
