There are some times in life, when problems are far too hard to solve,

that the best solution is to run

leave and start over somewhere new

I have dreamed of that forever

and for the first time, it's close enough to taste

not a far-off wish but an approaching date on the calendar

maybe the distance, a new phone number, and a P.O. box for my mother instead of a home address,

maybe those items on my to do list can be the solution

and maybe the past follows,

haunts us to every new place we thought it couldn't reach
