Resurrection

Rebuilding the self is a Journey best taken by opening the door of perception.

Saying goodbye to the past.

One step. A foot on a mound.

Baseball. A sport I never

really enjoyed.

Dirt and rock cascade

over the base.

.

Buried deep into the landscape

of Pine Nursery Park. In Bend,

a home

I never wanted,

.

In a place that never

embraced

.

the divergent part of me.

.

But she is a complicated

mistress

and I shall make

the cloth fit the person.

.

A cigar, at a bar

which started my business.

One networking event

at a time. Drenched deep

.

in Nicaraguan tobacco,

.

and good spirits,

good times,

good people.

.

A door opening

into a brokerage

which I left, because of a lousy

contract. New sites, hustle,

.

an open vibe,

and an embracing

Culture, new

beginnings in

a time that feels reminiscent

Of a past

but rewritten

.

as it should have been.

.

One step. One person,

reconnecting. Who are they?

Do they work with me?

Do they fit my vibe?

Do they fit

My ethical construct?

Are they worthy

.

Of my codependence?

.

Reclaiming triggers is a journey

worth taking. A step

that needs to be

taken. A walk

not taken alone

But with every story

in your life

.

which builds the resurrected you.
