Rest a while

Beyond Time and Behind Stars

By Sabayo MatikuPublished 2 years ago • 1 min read

To the delights of weariness,

You rest just a bit,

Not a slumber so full that

The ache of ‘tired’ returns,

But enough to smile again,

And thank the pillow for

The brief, but lovely

Respite.

To the wonder of being,

You are here fully, watching,

Listening,

Holding the story.

It takes a blink of the eye,

And a touch of the heart…

But you brave it out,

Knowing the end,

Like the beginning,

Is worth the wait.

About the Creator

Sabayo Matiku

I express the realities and frequencies that words are carried on, to speak to the heart in a manner that is simple and free. I've come to ruffle feathers and to polish the sky, to laugh and wonder.
