Reproductive Stagnation
Nothing is born from being barren

Reproductive Stagnation
My body became an abandoned room
Silent echoes where life once stirred
Every month carried familiar gloom
Wrapped around each unspoken word
Dreams dried slowly beneath my ribs
Like winter choking fragile roots
Hope unravelled in tiny fibs
Leaving grief inside worn boots
Doctors spoke with careful mouths
Cold expressions trained to detach
Still my heart collapsed south
Knowing nothing seemed to match
I carried empty years inside
Watching others softly bloom
While I buried shattered pride
Beneath this still and airless room
The clock kept crawling through despair
Every season sharpened loss
Dust gathering upon each prayer
As exhaustion counted cost
People speak without understanding
Offering comfort carved from stone
Never seeing where I’m standing
Inside this hollowed unknown
My body feels frozen in place
Like rivers trapped beneath thick ice
A painful stillness I cannot erase
No matter sacrifice or price
Yet somewhere beneath ruined ground
A pulse still whispers quietly
Even lost souls can be found
Beyond reproductive tragedy
So I breathe through every ache
Though emptiness still stains my skin
Refusing fully to break
Despite the war that lives within
