Remorse
Seeking Redemption: An Apology in Verse
In the depths of my soul, I find remorse,
A heartfelt apology, without recourse.
With words as my canvas, let me confess,
To heal the wounds, to seek redress.
I stand before you, humbled and sincere,
To acknowledge the pain caused, crystal clear.
In the tapestry of mistakes I've weaved,
Regret resides, a burden I've received.
For the times I faltered, and caused you pain,
My actions thoughtless, like a pouring rain.
I offer my contrition, for the hurt I've caused,
A solemn vow to learn from the flaws.
In moments unguarded, I failed to see,
The impact of my choices, how they'd be.
Blinded by ego, misguided by pride,
I wounded your heart, a part of me died.
With every line penned, I seek redemption,
To mend the bonds, to dissolve contention.
I offer my apology, with words sincere,
Hoping forgiveness finds its way near.
I know mere words cannot undo the past,
But they carry the weight of my remorse amassed.
With humility, I bow before your grace,
In hopes that forgiveness will find its place.
Let this apology be a humble plea,
For a chance to heal and set our spirits free.
May time be the salve that eases the pain,
And restores what was lost, once again.
In the realm of growth, I'll strive to evolve,
To become a better version, my resolve.
For your forgiveness, I'll patiently wait,
Knowing that amends can never be too late.
So, with sincere regret, I offer this rhyme,
An apology penned, a plea in due time.
I hope you find it in your heart to forgive,
And let bygones fade, as we both live
