Relentless

lyric

By Julie O'Hara - Author, Poet and Spiritual WarriorPublished 5 months ago 1 min read

[Verse 1]

Even when I don’t like you,

When the fire fades to blue,

My heart beats steady, soft and true,

Like the creek that winds the valley through.

[Prechorus]

It’s a weight I carry, deep and slow,

Relentless love won’t let me go.

[Chorus]

Oh, relentless love, it pulls me near,

Through the hurt, through the tears.

It don’t give up, it won’t back down,

It’s the root in the dirt, the anchor in the ground.

Even when I don’t like you, it’s all I know—

Relentless love won’t let me go.

[Verse 2]

I’ve thrown words like stones at the wall,

Watched them shatter, watched them fall.

But this heart of mine, it holds its place,

Still beating steady in your embrace.

[Prechorus]

It’s a bond that time can’t overthrow,

Relentless love won’t let me go.

[Chorus]

Oh, relentless love, it pulls me near,

Through the hurt, through the tears.

It don’t give up, it won’t back down,

It’s the root in the dirt, the anchor in the ground.

Even when I don’t like you, it’s all I know—

Relentless love won’t let me go.
