How can I be winning

When it always feels as if I am sinning?

I try to be the best that I can be

For everyone to see

But there is a darkness within

That I fail to keep in

It drags me down

As I perpetually frown

I don’t know what to believe

When so many are sent to deceive

These feelings are a drain

And I can’t get them out of my brain

Its hard to keep going

But it’s a line I keep toeing

I run from my past

Knowing it won’t last

When will I be accepted?

I’m tired of being rejected

This is beautifully sad. Finding acceptance is a wonderful theme and something many of us yearn for
