Regret

What a waste

By Laurence NadonPublished 2 years ago • 1 min read

Do you regret me?

Because I regret you.

I regret knowing what it’s like to be held by you

To feel lost at the mercy of our laughter

To fall into the blissful nothingness that your kisses provide

Our explosive chemistry as strong as the Vesuvius

I am now chasing that feeling like water in my hands

Despair and hope dancing together like oil and water

Looking back our time together was like sand in an hourglass

Precious and ephemeral

Nothing in life is eternal

Except for love.

I regret knowing you

I regret loving you

Because the only thing that will outlast both of us

Is this love that has nowhere to go

What a waste of a regret.
