In the fields so plain

With hair just like wool

There over the hilltop

Is Scratching, shouting

And hair being pulled

Trying to escape the gory battle

Red Tears of pain

Rich and thick

Slowly drips

From the tired eyes

It begins to stick

To the cheeks

That no longer blushes

From the sound of its name

From the snarling teeth

Are toxic comments

That poisons the soul

And curled lips

That shows the expression

leave me alone

the vicious beasts

That never says

We love you

For love and attention

We dance with the starving wolves

Daily thoughts of

Are these our last goodbyes

As the pure tears

Of poison drips

Down from the eyes

And the whispers

Of lies

Leave a trail of

Wretched apologies

And sorrow

Screeching down the dark empty hallways

Transforming our minds to weightless

And hollow denies

Closing the door

So the scorching light doesn’t catch us

Bathing in blood

Because that’s the way

We show our love

In this home

Love hurts

About the Creator

Tyrel Curtis

I take her hand, hold it close

she cries, I overdose

pondering why, her puddle of tears

gets me high.
