Recharge

Leave Stress Behind

By Mother CombsPublished 11 months ago 1 min read

She sits in the garden

Relaxing away the day

Leaving behind the stress

That followed her out

She closes her eyes

And listens to the bees

Pollinating the flowers

A butterfly flutters across her face

As she sits so very still

She allows the peace to fill her

As she soaks up the sun

She absorbs the smells

Of the flowers and the loam

She removes her sandals

To feel the peat moss between her toes

Absorbing the healing energy from the ground

She sits until the nighttime crickets arrive

Well past the rise of the full moon

Recharging her soul

About the Creator

Mother Combs

Come near, sit a spell, and listen to tales of old as I sit and rock by my fire. I'll serve you some cocoa and cookies as I tell you of the time long gone by when your Greats-greats once lived.
