Reality's Shadows: A Poem of Love and Fear
Navigating Emotions in a Practical World
In the world of fiction, she finds solace sweet,
But reality's grip, it's not easy to beat.
She dances with emotions, yet keeps a wary eye,
Practicality her shield, as she walks the sky.
She craves the warmth of love's tender embrace,
Yet fears its grip, its suffocating space.
For in the shadows of the world she knows,
Lie monsters disguised in human clothes.
She reads of heroes, of love's grandeur bold,
But reality's tales are often cold.
For the world she sees is filled with pain,
Where trust is broken, and hearts remain.
She longs to believe in love's gentle touch,
But scars of the past, they linger much.
So she treads with caution, her heart held tight,
For fear of the darkness that lurks in the night.
But amidst the shadows, a glimmer shines,
A hope that love's light still defines.
For in her heart, a flicker of faith,
That love can conquer the darkest of wraiths.
So she reads fiction novels, dreams in her mind,
But in reality's grasp, she'll never bind.
For she knows the truth, in her soul's deepest fold,
That love, in its essence, is worth more than gold.
