Real Strength
A poem to help overcome odds.
Unexplained mysteries that linger for years,
Many afraid to deeply look.
Do not fret if you lack knowledge,
For most things can be found in books.
Many more will remain ignorant,
Trading their strengths to look super cool.
What does one get at the end of the day?
Do they like what they see as they gaze in that pool?
Things that no one understands,
Will always be the cause of created fears.
Some able to critically think,
Still the damage causes setbacks that often times, lasts for years.
How are the effects of trauma undone?
Or the strength to rebuild found?
What gets one through the day,
When with every step, the trembling felt, is the ground.
Follow those forgotten dreams,
Never caving to other's thoughts.
There is only one life you get to live,
That soul of yours is worth a lot.
Don't forget what things really are.
Nor the ones who've carried you when you were alone.
One day they may just need you,
To remind them again that they have a home.
