Remakes as far as the eye can see

Everybody is remaking everything

I'd like to see some originality please

Just one work not built off an already done IP

Have we lost our creative way

Can we no longer forge new worlds

Has the well run dry

For us to breathe something new

~

I want work inspired by

But simply recreated by

Something fresh so to speak

Or have we done all that can be

~

Give monkeys typewriters and eventually you'll get Shakespeare

Well from the looks of it the monkeys can stop typing

Since there's nothing new to type to

~

I personally dislike remakes. Far too often do people lose the spirit of something trying to recreate it. Do not remake the wheel. Use it and improve upon it.
