Rainbow

A rainbow comes when two opposites meet

An unlikely find, but a beautiful greet.

A time where obvious fails to shine

When enemies talk and stars align.

A time where the hate is replaced by a dove

When silence is lost in a moment of love.

The beauty of the colours come from the choice

When you aren't blinded by beauty

But you hear a true voice

To call out and help you see more than before

When you suddenly realise

What others saw.

That a chance can be taken but not for all

For no matter how hard, it is not your call.

So smile and thank it for your lessons are learned

To look to the future for knowledge that is earned.

I am not to say that it cannot be

Just that it may not be for you and me.

So let the opposites come as the sun slides down

When the rainbow fades into a caramel brown.
