Night has fallen;
And,
All I have done is stare out of
this window,
All day,
Listening as the drops hit harder,
Against the window pane.
My heart feels heavy,
Dark,
Just like those clouds;
Crying like thunder for your
presence,
Even just typed words on a screen,
To let me know,
That you are still alive,
And well.
But;
You won't talk,
Silence has been falling for weeks;
Like a river that once happily flowed,
Frozen,
Forever in a sheet of ice,
Just like our warm friendship,
Now turned cold.
Love drowning in puddles of
dark depression,
Because you closed the door,
Trapping me,
In deep waters.
My love;
Is it okay for me to call my cherished friend that,
The one who I uniquely bonded with,
In a strength of friendship,
Unlike any I have ever experienced with another?
Just know;
In your lonely heart,
I will wait for an eternity,
For you to come around,
Even as rain clouds fill my heart,
Because I miss you.
