Air
Oxygen’s the one
to aspire to always have
breathed in all the time.
A part of the air
it seems to lack in despair
hold on for dear life.
Earth
From within you I
transcend to return older
but never ready.
As I dined on thee
they will dine on me heedless
of who I once was.
Fire
As I gaze upon
you dear Sun I realise
I’ll always love thee.
As you burn for good
you also burn for bad any
living or lifeless.
Water
I drink thee with love
my body rejoices at
your endless power.
I bathe within your
glory to appear in three
states; I love them all.
Spirit
Are you in the air
dead in the earth, alive in
fire and in water?
My body dislikes
your impudence when you think
you are everything.
