Quiet Messengers Robins

Just to show you are near

Quiet Messengers robins

I ache for you in ways unspoken,

in silent hours that feel half broken.

Your voice still lingers in my mind,

a warmth the world cannot unwind.

The days drag heavy through my chest,

the nights refuse to let me rest.

Yet something stirs I can’t explain,

a softness moving through the pain.

A single feather finds my way,

no wind, no reason, yet it stays.

It settles near as if it knew,

my heart was reaching out for you.

A robin pauses, watching me,

too close, too calm, too quietly.

It does not fear, it does not fly,

just meets my gaze as I ask why.

These moments come when I feel low,

like gentle whispers I should know.

Not loud or bright, not meant to prove,

just quiet signs that carry love.

So though I cannot hold you near,

I feel you in the stillness here.

Not gone, just out of sight somehow,

still finding ways to reach me now.

I wrote this for my brother John for Brenda his wife, my sister in law who died a year ago. He misses her so much. We all do🙏♥️🙏
