I wrote this in 1967. I am sharing from my creative analog world of 1967 to my very digital world in 2026.

Once I was among a group

Let’s call them great

I was queen, there was no hate

We began our journey

We know not where

On and on we did not care

Leo is sweet and kind

He is the one so blind

He stands tall among all men

You can bet joe will win

His hair is dusty blonde

Bleached out by the sun

His eyes are deep dark blue

They tell no lies, only truth

He loves, he sings a lot

He believes in the creator and shares a lot

Bobby is understanding tis so

Watch the wind blow

He stands by among us now

Knowing not but when and how

How we live, how we believe

His brown eyes are shiny

His black pupils are so tiny

On the bright time of the year

There was no one here

In the dark came a car

They came to my horror

On their search for tomorrow

They came together to follow a star

They are fools, that’s what they are

One has brown hair and eyes

His eyes show his truth and lies

He loves with all his heart

Tells his true love they’ll never part

He is not very tall

In fact, he’s quite small

He will be a friend

He will last to the end

Tomorrow he will remember when

His true love has eyes of blue

She loves him so true

Her long black hair falls without a care

His brown hair hangs down

He holds his head off the ground

Queenie is the girl among the world

Her big blue eyes are looking at you

Her blue eyes cloud when she is blue

Queenie comes along side by side

She walks with us caring her pride

Our first stop is the clouds

Cloud no 9 is our first stop on this trip

Look over yonder lies the big dip

The moon looks good shining in the sky

It seems so close we could almost be unalive

Where do we go

We don’t know

Only the creator does know

We ride in our rocket ship

On this maddening trip

Over the moon,

Over the sun

Over the clouds

Away from the maddening crowds

Look. There stands a tree

As she dreams of the love they share

She loves people to be in search of tomorrow

She will be your friend

They start in the night

They begin out of sight

Their hopes are all in the heart

No, they will never part

On they travel over the moon

Must they land so soon

The night is dark as black

So, they look back

Where is tomorrow in time

Time flies and the bells chime

They are together but the search is still on

Today is here, tomorrow gone

They begin their life anew

The sky shines a bright blue

Their car drives on the road home
