Physics class, I looked across
pinpricks on skin
dry throat,
butterflies in spring
green grass glazed
the Canadian geese return : brown goosebumps circling
an uncommon attraction.
You speak to me about our relation
comparing it with the Sun’s growing light - of its dual nature
particles and waves - like us
two rare forms emerging from the same light?
Swayed by your lines,
your waterfall hands hold me - gently
pull me - intently
into a field in which we are just masses
like the geese creating
a blurring of lines - making frequencies align - until things from my
p o i n t o f v i e w
become your
p o i n t o f v i e w.
and then,
A gravitational presence always
when we were nearby.
So it’s only right that the light you saw in me
never arrived.
