Irreverent Joy

To dance with abandon.

Long road trips.

The sound of his laugh.

California sunsets.

My fingers through the leaves of a tree.

The smell of honeysuckle.

A deep conversation with a confidant.

The sound of rain.

Birdsong.

A cool fall breeze.

A message from you when I awake or before I go to sleep.

Singing with passion to my favorite music.

Waking up in your arms, pulled closer and sealed with a kiss.

Freshly baked cookies.

Being understood most unexpectedly.

Mama’s hugs.

Papa’s jokes.

Randomly discovered love notes.

Nostalgic movies.

Choosing to be brave.

Unexpected appreciation.

Moments, feelings, tastes, thoughts, sounds… pure irreverent joy.
