Puppy Love

A Poem of Comfort

You make me cuss

You make me cry

When you drag your claws

Down my thigh

You make me suspicious

You make me anxious

When you take your toy

And rip it, nervous

You make me scream

You make me shout

When you act so hyper

With no time out

You make me wonder

Why I did this

Then answer it all

With a puppy's kiss

You bring me peace

You make me calm

When the world's pressures

Give me qualms

You make me certain

You make me grounded

When I stroke your fur

And by my mind I am hounded

You make me worry about the day

When by my side you'll no longer stay

You bring me comfort

From my daily hurt

You are my baby, you are my love

My fallen angel from above
