Puppy Boy
A funny free verse poem
WOOF! WOOF!
That gut-wrenching sound
of you barking
made me bark
internally.
You want some more
kibble and bone?!
Want me
to play fetch with you?!
If yes,
come follow me,
and start the game.
FETCH! CATCH!
That deafening,
unbearable sound
WOOF! WOOF!
made my eardrums
itch and scratch.
I can’t
always take you
to the puppy park,
but I’ll still
love you
unconditionally.
MWAH! MWAH!
LICK! LICK!
I’m the marshmallow fluff
and rainbow sprinkles
on top
of your little cake.
