Pupil of the Vogons

Time Travel Won't Save You!

Auger Lucas: An Allegory of Poetry -- from all the way across space and time both the baby and the lady are like: you believe this shit?

Beyond Saturn's rings

We carpinockulated

In our fritterdeen solipsistiners

But particulate antishatter foragers

Bellintenured the fregglehorn!

O, merry wickleworms, how did we,

How did we ever parrigulare?

The slimefritters misunderestimated us!

But the past is over and strategery--

Yes, subliminable strategery!--

Will be tacular and unsepitable!

We are the horde of just-us,

The fnord of krinklemaus,

The beatee eyed septuagint

Of misselintrony and flurginjurgen!

May you sert your set, blurt your jet,

Wet your pet with supplespet,

You blitchery smetchinger!

Just you wait for us to take two swings

Around Saturn's rings

and we'll fleegalyze the whole

Bratchsmatchin crots of you!

Fleetlehorn! Fleetlehorn!

It is done! Platypus!

Rommentary:

I studied for a brief time out of time with the Vogons. A time I will never forget--for all the worst reasons! I'm sorry to have done this to you, but they said if I didn't submit a piece reflecting their, erm, fine culture, they would host a poetry slam at my house!

This unfortunate mistake that can never be wiped clean from and will always mar the beauty of the akashic record like crusted over old vomit on the wall of the Sistine Chapel is remorsefully submitted to Tim Carmichael's Time Traveller Poetry challenge.

All apologies to the judges, and to you, dear reader!
