You're such an intricate place,

From the unconscious to the conscious space,

Your ways never cease to amaze.

Your capabilities are vast,

You can solve problems so fast,

And bring us memories from the past,

But sometimes you're not built to last.

Anxiety can take over,

Depression can become a rover,

And mental illness can leave us sober,

When what we need is a life decor.

That's where psychology comes in,

With its theories, research and discipline,

It helps us our minds begin,

To heal, and better ourselves within.

From Freud's psychoanalysis,

To Maslow's hierarchy and beyond,

Psychology brings us analysis,

To our every thought and bond.

Dear Mind, don't ever forget,

That even though you may upset,

There's a field out there to let,

Your pain and troubles be put to rest.

With a hug from a fellow soul,

Let's move towards our mental goal,

And make our lives whole,

With psychology, let's break our mold.
