Procrastination

A Poem

Day wasted

Nothing accomplished

Instead of writing

Spending hours on Facebook

And surfing the web

Sending texts to friends

Feeling completely uninspired

Finding nothing to write

Looking for something just perfect

Hoping to find something soon

An idea for the whodunit

It keeps messing with everything else

Sadly, the whodunit isn’t baked enough

To be written out, though

So it has to be shelved

So that it may rise a little more

Then I waste another hour

On Pixabay, looking at pictures

That I may never use

Or I end up on IMGflip

Looking at the memes created

And laughing at the funny ones

Or I waste some time on Nightcafe

Creating some AI images

Finding none of them inspiring

To make the written word

Constantly looking for anything to do

Rather than write on any of the

Works I have started

Come near, sit a spell, and listen to tales of old as I sit and rock by my fire. I'll serve you some cocoa and cookies as I tell you of the time long gone by when your Greats-greats once lived.
